This is interesting - be sure to read the comments (even though some are completely inane) so that you get to the one that actually explains what happened.
I think this is a great use of crowd sourcing to help contextualize a photograph...but as Martha said, some of the comments were ridiculous (that one comment that listed all the words that begin with "COLL" made me laugh). This speaks to the importance of research and documentation to determine authenticity. In other words, be sure to cultivate a sense of skepticism when crowd sourcing.
